- Implant Course held at Glasgow Dental School 14th
March 2009
Professors Ashraf Ayoub, Fraser McCord,
Khursheed Moos of Glasgow University in collaboration with OsteoCare™ presented
a course to Post Graduate Students and Dental Nurses entitled "Current Concepts
in Dental Implants & Alveolar Bone Reconstruction".The format for the day
comprised of lectures by Professors Ayoub, McCord, Moos and OsteoCare's Clinical
advisor Professor Amr Zahran, Cairo University, followed by a Hands-on workshop,
using mandibles, which was informative and well received.Professor Ayoub also
performed two implant cases using OsteoCare™ implants.
1st Case
Patient was an endentulous eighty-year old man who
received two Midi Ball Implants.
2nd Case
Patient was a twenty-three year old female who received a
Midi Post Implant.
Both patients were very happy with the procedure.
The day finished with a general
discussion and rounded off in the evening with a Gala Dinner at the Amarone
Restaurant, Glasgow.
